Surgery and recovery
An implant increases the chin’s size and projection, usually through a small incision placed under the chin; this genioplasty (sometimes also called a mentoplasty) is often done along with a rhinoplasty or a facelift. Genioplasties take about an hour and are usually performed in Dr. Harris’ facility under local anesthesia with oral sedation.
